A child’s journey through our school
Your child will begin school at the age of 3 and spend a year in our Nursery. He/she will be allocated either a morning or an afternoon placement. The statutory school age for children in England is 4 and the following year your child will move to Reception, during this year your child will celebrate his/her 5th birthday. N.B. Some children start attending Wolsey House and transfer to our Reception from other Early Years settings.
Children then progress through school from Year 1 to Year 6. Year 1 and 2 are Key Stage 1 and Years 3 to 6 are Key Stage 2. Please see the list of year groups and ages below.
